Swiming pool out of action - this was a main reason behind choice - this was not advertised and no real apology was given.Temperature in room stiffling - way too hot
The staff were especially friendly and helpful and the rrom comfortable. The breakfast and evening meal were both good quality and good value. We will definitley stay in one of these hotels again.
It was a shame the pool was closed for maintenance, but this was clearly indicated on the website.
The staff were friendly whilst efficient, the food was very good and the room was well appointed.
We were dissapointed that the pool was closed although we were told that this should have been picked up when making the booking.Drinks were a little expensive
the frendly admosfer
the resterant menu
Standard chain-type hotel but with excellent service, friendly helpful staff, good food, well appointed rooms, comfortable beds.
Close to a shopping outlet and a few pub/restuarants but very little else.Hotel was clean, beds soft and very comfortable, staff helpful and polite, breakfast OK.
Food prices a little high
Staff recognise from previous visits and are welcoming
Spa facilities are advertised but pool out of action for cleaning and maintenance and spa therapist (good) only on duty intermittently.
The staff are always plesent and the beds are very comfortable.
convenient enough for the peak district, staff were friendly and the prices were excellent in comparison to other hotels we have visited.
there was some confusion with the bill, and they tried to charge us for someone elses meal. It is always best to check what you have paid for in advance and take the paperwork with you
The Hotel was convenient for the event we were attending. We have stayed there before and were happy to book again.
Nice clean hotel with friendly anf efficient staff, booking in was fast, rooms clean, airy and tidy.Excellent pool and leisure facilities.Breakfast was buffet type -very nice.Never got chance to try resturaunt as we were attending wedding nearby.
Road noise - room backing on to m6 Motorway.Television was really outdated and only 5 stations.
Close to the motorway. Good parking. We had plenty of hot water. Needed more towels and staff quickly provided them for us
Would have liked to use the pool later in the evening but closed quite early. Tea/coffee minimal and had to ask for more, which was given happily must say. Only one teaspoon and one set of towels so maybe they misstook our booking for a single person ? Bed comfy but pillows a strange shape !
Family christening at Kirkby-in Ashfield - small double bed when booked twin bedded room - hotel too full to change anything. No explanation given at time of booking in at reception of card usage to get electricity working in room. For a 4 star hotel the tv picture quality was awful and too few channels from which to choose - morning wanted to use pool - shut for elfnsafety reason! Too few milk cartons for tea/coffee making and no biscuits. Only one towel of each size for two people to use. Taps on wash hand bason loose and driped if not forced close. - Air evac system in bathroom did not appear to work - room got all steamed up & dampness spread into bedroom - not 4 star.
The rooms were very comfortable and the swimming facilities handy to have. Breakfast was nice.
The rooms were dated. There were just 5 tv channels. Do not eat in the restaurant. Rude, inattentive staff, overpriced and tiny portion sizes!!
Nice layout, rooms well designed, staff very friendly and helpful, good size bathroom, iron in the room apart from heat
Couldn't open the windows and felt like I was in a sauna, couldn't sleep very well on the second night
